Coffee has a way of lifting the spirits, warming you up for the day and brings a moment of clarity in the midst of a busy day. Whether it's the aroma, the ritual, or the caffeine kick, it often feels like a small act of self-care. Now finding good coffee places is no easy feat, and when you do find such places they become the gems to your salvation. We all love a good coffee blended well.
Meet the founder of the Instagram page, Beans and Reads, who has taken on the task of finding where coffee meets creativity. This Instagram page is on a mission to discover cafes that turn every cup into a masterpiece. Here she explains why the page was set up and its purpose.
Some things in life are simple — but transformative.
For me, it’s the combination of a cup of great coffee and something worth reading.
That’s what Beans & Reads is all about.
I started this because I love wandering into independent cafés, finding roasters who take real pride in their beans, and discovering spaces where coffee is more than just fuel — it’s craft, care, and community. At the same time, I’m usually carrying something to read — whether it’s New Statesman, The Guardian, or whatever book I’m deep into. Put those two together, and you’ve got the perfect pause: time to think, sip, and connect.
But this isn’t just about me sharing what I find.
It’s about building a little movement around three simple things:
☕ Celebrating local coffee culture – supporting the cafés and roasters who make our towns and cities more interesting, more human, more alive.
📖 Sharing ideas through reading – because a good read can spark conversation as much as a good espresso.
🤝 Creating community – with Beans & Reads meetups launching soon, where people bring their book, their article, or even just curiosity, and we gather over truly great coffee.
So if you:
Then you’re in the right place.
👉 I’ll be announcing the first Beans & Reads meetups very soon. Please follow along on [Instagram] and [TikTok] for details, updates, and ways to join in.
