We’re excited to share a new opportunity for young Muslim women aged 18-24 years in London and Birmingham who are seeking mental health support. Inspirited Minds has partnered with the University of Hertfordshire to conduct a research study aimed at improving the mental well-being of young Muslim women through a new faith-based support group programme.

This free 6-week support group is specifically designed to support mental health and well-being. Each session is a 90-minute group meeting (up to 10 people per group) held weekly. The programme is set up to compare faith-based therapy with more conventional programmes (such as those in the NHS), and we are looking to gather insights into participants’ experiences throughout the study.

This study is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is led by the University of Hertfordshire. The team is also formed of our public co-investigator and researchers from universities of Kent, East Anglia, Leeds and Birmingham City, plus representatives from the charities Inspirited Minds and BIMA.
