Are you a British Muslim woman who has had a nikkah without civil ceremony? Or are you planning to do that in the future or wanted to opt for that at some point in your life? We are looking to speak with you.

My name is Tanita Rahmani, a reporter based in the U.S. I'm looking for British Muslim women who are willing to share their thoughts and experience of having, wanting, or are planning to have a nikkah without civil registry. Looking into the conversations and debates in the UK in the past year about Muslim marriages, I'd like to bring nuance to the topic and shed light on the lived-experiences of British Muslim women who chose to have their marriage unregistered, what this means for them, and how it might be an empowering decision.

Purpose
The purpose of this call is for a radio documentary episode for Al Mujadilah, a Qatari Center for Women. I am therefore seeking those who would be willing to have their voice recorded. I am happy to provide anonymity to all participants by way of providing pseudonyms on the podcast and throughout our interaction.
