Women in World-Literature will be launching a statement in support of Palestine and Palestinian scholarship. Alongside of this, we are holding an online fundraising event celebrating Palestinian women in the afternoon of Friday 13th February 2026 via Teams.

This event will raise money through optional donations at ticketing - we suggest £5-£10 - for Academic Solidarity with Palestine and Medical Action Palestine.

We will welcome Palestinian feminist and peacebuilder Huda Abu Arqoub, Gazan translator Shams Mazen Rajab, Assistant Professor at Bethlehem University Shada Shahin, and filmmaker Joy Stacey to enjoy a screening of her film, She the Steadfast (2023).
