Participants Required
British Pakistani women aged 18–25 who have previously experienced domestic abuse (and are no longer in that relationship) are invited to take part in a PhD research study exploring their perspectives and experiences.
This study is being conducted by Ubaida Mubashir, a PhD researcher in Policing and Criminology at Staffordshire University. The research aims to understand how young British Pakistani women in the UK perceive domestic abuse. There is currently limited research focusing on this group, and your insights could help inform more culturally appropriate support and prevention strategies.
Participation involves a one-to-one interview (either online or in person) lasting approximately 60–90 minutes. The interview will be audio-recorded (with your consent), transcribed, and anonymised. Audio recordings will be securely deleted after transcription and accuracy checks
Participation is entirely voluntary. You have the right to withdraw from the study up to two weeks after your interview. You may decline to answer any question or stop the interview at any time without giving a reason.
Taking part provides an opportunity to share your experiences, and your contribution may help improve understanding and support for other women in your community. Your contribution may help improve understanding and preventive purposes for other women in your community.
